Today, Community Road Empowerment (CORE), hosted a Community grant Steering committee at it’s Milimani offices in Meru County, made up of County Government Officials, Meru Youth Service (MYS), National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs), and Kenya Urban Roads Authority.
The steering committee confirmed the community grant steering committee members and it’s mandate, shared the CORE’s Access Roads rehabilitation project progress, shared community grants operations manual, and most importantly, reviewed the received business proposals by SMEs that were formed by the project’s beneficiaries.
This is a clear indication that grants totaling to Sh400,000 for each SME will be issued soon.
